About iAutomated

This website is a culmination of years of frustration building my own websites, building traffic, doing SEO, buy ads, paying for influencers to plug me, etc... to elevate my various businesses within the inter-web-o-sphere.

Some projects were more successful than others and some more painful or costly.  Ultimately, I needed something simple, reliable and easy to use - enter Blogger and Blogspot.

I was tired of maintenance on WordPress and security updates and version control - it was either do it yourself or pay someone to maintain it.  Ain't nobody got time for that mess... *finger wag*

I've used their free platform, but I don't care to use all those features.  I needed something to record my thoughts and share my voice - no frills.  I could code the rest or build everything else.  I didn't want to have to worry about security, optimization or any of the details related to WP.

There are other sites out there: Wix - too bloated, WP.com might as well pay for it, Grid - too fancy...

Blogger was an easy choice.  Already integrated with my Google account and fulfilled my minimalist desires.

Now, I still use some of these other technologies for other sites, but for my personal blog - this is it.  Nothing fancy, just words on a page and a few images to illustrate the point.

I think folks have gotten away from the written word and the power to convey meaning with it.

This website - that's right.  You came here to learn more about me and this site...

1) This is my personal project tracker - if you want to know what I'm working on now, you can find it here.  From developing my own indie game to building a financial scraper to create an AI to analyze my FB friend's posts.  Yep, folks, I've got a bot that stalks my FB friends... and Skynet is real (...social media data mining is really fun.)

2) This is my contact portal - if you wanted to connect with me, the best way to do it through this blog.  Leaving a comment on a post is 10x more likely to get a response than shooting me an e-mail.  I hate e-mail and am working to destroy e-mail and the need for it.

I'm looking at ways for bots to comb e-mail and automatically deal with issues for me.  If you know how to do this, I'd like to talk to you... leave me a comment. :)

3) This is my personal/professional blog - if you want know the latest updates on topics and technology I'm interested in, look no further.  I'm more likely to create a 10 page post on here about my opinions on AI, Marketing Automation, and Data Mining than I would on FB or LinkedIn.  So, if you want to know the most current news in my world, here's where you need to go.

About Alex Moy

I'm a Christian - Father, Husband, Entrepreneur, and Data Strategist, in that order.

I try to live everyday with my compass pointed at Christ - that's my center, my joy and my salvation.  I won't try to preach to you here, but if you don't know Christ I can make an introduction... anytime, any place.

After my faith is my family.  After all, what good is all the material things in this world if you don't have people who love you and are here to share it with.  Relationships are important... and the ones you have with your family are the most important.

My passion has always been entrepreneurship.  I love to help others create businesses and turn ideas and dreams into reality.  I support entrepreneurship wholeheartedly and my personal mission in life is to help 1,000 people create successful, sustainable business enterprises.

If you would like to develop a business or have a great business idea, and need advice on where to start - I'd love converse and maybe guide you in the right direction.

Finally, I'm a Data Strategist by profession.  I play with data - big data, little data, tough to find data.  I profile it.  I mine it.  I teach machines how to interpret it and derive meaning out of it.  Data is fun for me.  Some love to sing or dance, I love to poke at data.  Whether you're a large organization or small organization, chances are you have data (and more than you realize).

Companies bring me in to help create a strategic plan for how to find, organize, mine and interpret their data to create actionable insights.  I layout the road map, point out the pitfalls and obstacles, show them the shortcuts and best practices, so they can plan their journey and resources accordingly.
